01/19/92012 - I started off my day with my normal tasks - walk dogs, cup of coffee, clean the house and do laundry (lots of laundry). Today I tried do it yourself Febreze. It works great and was easy to make -You take 1/8 of a cup of your favorite fabric softener mix with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and then fill your container with water. There you go items laying around your house instead of spending $$$$. Recipe via homemade momas found on Pinterest. Have changed the recipe as I used a larger container.

And we launch
As I do every morning - I walk the dogs, have a cup of coffee, clean the house and do laundry (lots of laundry). Today I added day 2 of the “Level One Exercise Plan” via via http://downtownn.tumblr.com/post/14891641549/downtownn-are-you-ready-this-plan-has-3 . I also decided to find a site to start my blog, so here it goes. I decided on Blogger, my official blog site is http://madewithlovebyjessica.blogspot.com/ Yippee I am official. Please bear with me - I am new to this kind of stuff and my grammar is atrocious.
May I introduce the Butler's
Hi, my name is Jessica. I am a wife and stay at home mom of three handsome teenage boys - Coleton 17, Connor 16 and Cameron 13. After finding so many cute ideas for DIY and baking on the internet I have decided to try them all. This thought has compelled me chronicle my daily tasks and share my new found loves with you.. Hope you enjoy
01/16/2012 - I woke up this morning and decide to do an Internet challenge (You all know the sight). I started off my day with my normal tasks - walk dogs, cup or two or three of coffee, clean house and do laundry (lots of laundry). So the challenge begins..
Today I have the pleasure of having two of my boys home with me. It is always a joy to have them around they keep me on my toes even at this age. We recently moved to a new little town in western Florida. The key word being little.. Today my younger two and I are going to venture off on foot to explore what our new town has to offer. Wish us luck J
1/16/2012 - What a great time we had.. We traveled into town via the Withlacoochee Rails to Trails. Had a great time exploring what the trails had to offer, mainly great views of the many lakes here in town. Had a great lunch, Jared would be proud, with the boys and then we ventured back home. What a great way to send the day J Now off to make dinner and dessert.
01/16/2012 - What’s for dinner? What’s for dessert? Today - I have taken out Chicken breasts for dinner so what should we make. After discussing my options with the boys we have come to the menu at hand. Stuffed Oven Baked Chicken Breasts (stuffed with broccoli, garlic, a mixture of cheeses and homemade breadcrumbs/saltine crackers), a fresh salad topped with items laying around the house (feta cheese, oranges, strawberries, sliced almonds and whatever dressing the boys want), Pasta - store bought, and fresh bread from Publix. All this for $22.99 (that’s 6lbs of chicken breasts to feed my crew) Made individual M&M’s cheesecake for dessert. The total cost of tonight’s meal is $25.99 not to shabby <3
Things you will need: 1 large bowl, 2 small bowls, food processor and a few more that you have lying around.
Recipe - Chicken as much as you need for your family (mine 6lbs)
Broccoli - I used a whole large bunch
Cream Cheese - I used 8oz block
Cheddar Cheese - I used 2 cups
Saltine Crackers - I used 1 sleeve
Flour - I used a little more then a cup
Garlic - about 2 tablespoons (we like garlic)
Eggs - I used 2 large
Milk - I used about 1 cup
Butter - optional
Season to taste - I used my house spice mix (which is garlic, salt and pepper and everglade
heat (everything better with a little heat)
The fun thing about cooking is it is all about your likes and tastes.. experiment a little If you think it tastes good then it does that’s all that matters. The family won’t starve there’s always pizza in the freezer or cereal in the cupboard…hehe
So let’s get started… (Oven Backed Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts)
First take out the bowls you will need for making your dinner. I used 1(one) large and 2 (two) medium and 1 (one) square glass container and of course my chicken bowl (mine’s red and says chicken) You can use whatever you have lying around.
Let’s start the stuffing = First put the broccoli heads in a food processor (if you don’t have a food processor just cut up the broccoli real fine and then tomorrow go to your local thrift store and buy a food processor. I love mine). In your large bowl add you cream cheese ( I like mine softened a little) and cheddar cheese - mix well.. I use my hands washed of course. Mix it up real good when it is thoroughly mixed add your garlic and broccoli and mix again. Then season to taste.. I have also added bacon, ham or rice to this mixture.
Gobble Gobble = First Clean your chicken - cut any extra fat you don’t want. I bought bone in and skin on, cause it was on sale at Winn- Dixie for $.99 lb. Make sure you wash your hands after touching the chicken. Happy Birthday to me….. All done. I then spice the outside of the chicken with my house seasoning. Take your chicken breasts and make a cut from tip to tip, leaving a little room on both sides. Your chicken now should look like boat (we where in the boating industry for 15 years).
Wash you hands again please..
You will need to crack 2 eggs. I like t crack my eggs into a glass container so If any shells fall in I can find them. Add your milk and mix well..
Take your saltine crackers - mix in your food processor or crumble by hand. You want them to be almost like bread crumbs with a few larger chunks. Mix with you flour and season. I like seasoning…
Now the fun begins = I separate my stuffing into little balls - 1 ball for each chicken (my boys like to eat the leftover as a cheese ball so I put away some for them as an appetizer with crackers) Take your chicken and stuff with the ball, then dip into the egg wash and then lightly into the cracker mixture. Place in your pan and repeat till done. Bake your chicken in the oven for 30 minutes at 425 degrees. After 30 minutes I then take the chicken out. Top with a little butter and put back in the oven at 450 degrees for another 30 minutes. This makes it nice and crispy. All ovens bake differently so always watch your chicken. Remove and enjoy!!
01/17/2012 - As I do every morning - I walk the dogs, have a cup of coffee, clean the house and do laundry (lots of laundry). This morning I added day 1 of the “Level One Exercise Plan” via http://downtownn.tumblr.com/post/14891641549/downtownn-are-you-ready-this-plan-has-3. So the fitness part begins, I also walked 2 mile today. Wish me luck - let’s get healthy together.
01/17/2012 - I also tried a few crafts today, the t-shirt scarf (love, love, love) I have made many of these and love making them. I have tried it several different ways, my favorite way is to not cut the strips all the way. Make sure you cut the strips at least 1 inch apart if not the material will not curl together. I tried salt dough - it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I had fun making shapes and even made a Butler est. in 1999 sign then I snapped it in half oops! Still need to decorate the shapes and make jewelry and nick knacks out of them. I also tried Water Marble Nails - fun, I made a mess. They look better today then they did yesterday. They did not turn out like the pattern I made in the water that’s for sure. But they are cute I guess.. Then last but not least I tried making Paper Beads. I need to read up on this cause they did not turn out at all. The kids are almost home and I need to put the laundry away.
01/17/2012 - What’s for dinner? Took a cheap steak out that I bought on sale at Winn-Dixie it was BOGO. Going to grill the steak and top with a mushroom & onion gravy, make rice, add a vegetable and fresh bread. To tired to make dessert the boys can have leftovers. Total cost $17.63 cause we had asparagus as our vegetable.
Recipe - Steak (I used chuck steak 5 lbs)
Marinade - Dale’s, Ken’s light Caesar salad dressing and hot sauce
Take your Steak and soak in the marinade for at least and hour. Take it out and place it on a charcoal grill (350 degrees at least) Grill 5 minutes on each side and done. Easy as pie. Bring in cover and let sit for about 5 minutes. Finish up on your sides and plate, yum yum!!
